Sales of machines like the imagePress C6010 have soared since drupa, says Canon
Canon has reported a rise in production print sales since it exhibited at drupa earlier this year, with 65 high-volume machine purchased in the UK and Ireland alone. The company attributes the growth to its 'consultative approach' in helping businesses to identify new opportunities.
New customers made up more than half the orders, says Canon, while existing customers have been 'inspired' to invest in new kit thanks to Canon's 'Bigger Picture' insight report and its accompanying customer forums.
"When I asked about a solution that would enable us to enter the VDP field, Canon looked at our business needs and recommended the Canon imagePress C6010 with the DirectSmile VDP software," says Bradley Vaughan, sales director at Kingsley Print, which already uses 'a brace of Canon solutions'. "We now consider ourselves a total communications provider that offers a bespoke printing service efficiently and gives great value for money."
Andrew Watts of Apple Print adds that with Canon's help in selecting an imagePress C7010VP his company has saved a third of production time compared to its old equipment.
Canon UK's Wayne Barlow says the company will build on the 'fantastic response' throughout the remainder of the year and into 2013.
