Esko has appointed Christian Korte and Marian Zincke to senior positions within the company as it focuses on sales growth in emerging markets. Korte takes up the newly-created role of senior vice-president of sales, while Zincke replaces Nicolai Gradman as Digital Imaging vice-president.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for me to help a strong customer-focused organisation improve even further," Zincke comments. "The opportunities for growth in digital finishing across both the print and packaging sectors, along with the efficiencies made possible by our best-in-class solutions, are areas I'm excited to be a part of."
"The enhanced productivity, cost reduction and flexibility [Esko's solutions] provide are essential for customers of all sizes looking to make efficiency improvements," adds Korte, who will lead a push into new market segments and regions. "They are also vital in long-term relationship-building with brand owners and key customers – particularly in emerging markets where new challenges call for quick and effective action."
Esko chief executive Carsten Kudsen welcomed the pair, saying Korte's track record would help customers make the most of new opportunities, and that he is hoping to leverage Zincke's experience of building sales teams in emerging markets.
