Terry A. Tevis, CEO & President of Coloredge, is pleased to announce: “Once again, EFI has stepped up to help us with this amazingly fast recovery from the Hurricane Sandy damage in our Carlstadt, NJ facility.” The coast-to-coast premier provider of visual branding solutions has partnered with EFI? (Nasdaq:EFII), a world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation. EFI worked with Coloredge in the replacement of several wide format digital printing presses damaged by Hurricane Sandy. By reaching out to a trusted vendor and partner, EFI expeditiously handled the replacement of their damaged presses.

Jeb Ball, Coloredge’s Executive Vice President & COO, commented: “We have a long relationship with EFI personnel from top to bottom. When the flooding occurred we reached out to EFI and asked if they could expedite every part of the new equipment process from orders to shipments right through to installations. We needed to be back to full production levels on the fastest possible timetable.”

Frank Mallozzi, EFI’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, commented, “Once we heard of the request we immediately authorized it. I am a born New Yorker and have family back East that was also affected by the hurricane, so needless to say I had total empathy. More important than my personal feelings is the strong core belief of our company that everything we do is customer-focused and this was an excellent opportunity to put it into practice. EFI is committed to our customers, and had an established long-term relationship with Coloredge.” Equipment replaced by EFI included two GS3250 LX printers and one GS5000R printer along with several peripheral features and products.

Terry A. Tevis, Coloredge’s CEO, summed it all up by saying: “EFI’s expeditious handling of our new equipment along with the generous competitors who opened up their doors to us in the days after the hurricane was truly remarkable. Our redundant equipment and services in our multi-plant configuration of Atlanta, Los Angeles and Carlstadt, NJ allows us to move work and skilled production personnel between locations and in situations like this it was also a key factor to our recovery success. Couple that with the performance of our remarkable employees and understanding customers, it permitted us to meet our critical deadlines and return to our normal production efficiency.”
