Wide format printer manufacturer Roland DGA Corp., Irvine, Calif., announces major changes to its executive management team, including the naming of a new president and the promotion of the company’s current president to an expanded international role with parent company Roland DG, Hamamatsu, Japan. Effective Jan. 1, 2013, Rick Scrimger, formerly vice president of sales and marketing of Roland DGA, will replace current Roland DGA President Dave Goward, who has been appointed president of worldwide sales and an executive officer for Roland DG.
The executive management changes within U.S.-based Roland DGA reflect larger organizational changes as Roland DG embarks on a new
Global One initiative designed to strengthen the corporation’s leadership positions in the markets it serves around the world. The announcements come as Roland DGA, which caters to customers throughout North and South America, celebrates record sales along with its recognition earlier this month as a Top Workplace in Orange County, Calif. The company’s extensive product line provides advanced technologies for creative professionals, including wide-format inkjet printers, vinyl cutters, engravers, 3D rapid prototyping equipment, dental mills and impact printers.
Goward will continue with Roland DGA through the remainder of 2013 as chief executive officer, providing strategic guidance. Scrimger, upon assuming his position as president of Roland DGA, will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the company and providing critical market insight to Roland DG’s product development team.
