Visitors to take control of Prysm stand at ISE

Prysm is inviting visitors to ISE 2013 to take control of the content on its laser phosphor display (LPD) videowall using their smartphones, or take part in a life-sized game of iRacing. Attendees will also be able to scan a QR code next to the screen to interact with the live Twitter feed following the #ISE2013 hashtag.

"People being able to access the screen and control the video content gives them the chance to challenge the technology and discover exactly how it can work for them," says Steve Scorse, vice-president for Europe, Middle East and Asia, Prysm.

"We are excited to show an interactive display with real-time social media. The ultra-wide viewing angle of 178 degrees and smallest seam gap on the market of 0.25mm ensures a great picture from any off-axis angle with no content being lost in the gap."

Prysm's LPD screens use solid state ultraviolet lasers to scan the surface of the screen and excite the phosphors to create an image, the company explains, noting that the process uses 75 percent less power than traditional LCD displays and runs cool, thus eliminating the requirement for HVAC cooling equipment.
