Mimaki has announced a partnership with media profile creator Color Concepts that will see media for use with Mimaki's JV400LX printer and latex inks independently certified. The Mimaki Media Certification Program (MMCP) will be available to media providers supplying appropriate materials throughout the EMEA region, and the company hopes to expand the scheme to other printers in the future.

"In working with Color Concepts to construct the program, we focused on ease of participation on the part of media suppliers as well as building in extra benefits for approved media," comments Mike Horsten, marketing manager, Mimaki Europe.

"This includes marketing by Mimaki on behalf of media suppliers at key trade shows and events beginning with FESPA Digital 2013, as well as online and in print advertising. Suppliers of approved media can also participate in a special swatch book programme that will give their products extra visibility in the marketplace."

As part of the new programme Mimaki will launch a new website, mymimaki.com, from which JV400LX owners will be able to download certified profiles. Suppliers wishing to have their media certified will be able to submit an order at mimaki.color-base.com which will also track the status of their certification process.
