Following its acquisition of the UK's first Uvistar Pro8 wide-format machine from Fujifilm in October 2012, Image Technique reports that it has achieved its core objective of increasing turnaround of outdoor display work on flexible media.
Having diversified from signage into wide-format print two years previously with the adoption of an Acuity HS Advance, the company settled on the three-metre Uvistar Pro8 for its 'perfect balance' of quality and productivity. Also key to the decision were its multi-roll capability, colour reproduction and adhesion, according to Fujifilm, as well as consistency of output across both devices.
"Today we are asked to deliver more roll-to-roll-based volumes with quicker turnaround times, so it was crucial to strengthen our production capabilities," explains Image Technique managing director James Dawson. "The Uvistar Pro8 has significantly reduced our time to market thanks to its advanced features.
"Since October 2012, when the Uvistar Pro8 was up and running within our production environment, we have more than doubled our print capacity. We can't be more positive about the impact of this installation on our business," he concludes.
