Italian manufacturer DPI DG Printing will use this year's FESPA 2013 exhibition to launch its Eagle range of LED UV-curable flat-bed printers in the UK. The machines will be revealed by British sales partner SSE Worldwide.
The Eagle UV LED 30 and UV LED 60 measure 1 x 0.3m and 1.5 x 0.6m respectively and are positioned for the production of sign and display, promotional items and industrial print applications. With standard four-colour ink sets augmented by white, DPI DG says that both printers can output onto objects up to 25cm deep using its three-picolitre Epson DX5 heads.
"The Eagle is [a] highly versatile and affordable machine which fits easily into any production environment and enables companies to print onto a wide range of materials and objects and, as a result, to open up new markets for added-value printed products," comments SSE Worldwide managing director Scott Armitage.
DPI DG's Eagle comes with a dedicated RIP platform, Whiterip, and can be supplied with a web-to-print front end to allow users to create their own online stores.
