Nagano Japan, April 2, 2013

Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. (President: Hisayuki Kobayashi; Headquarters: Nagano, Japan) today announced three new affordable cutting plotters: CG-60SRIII/100SRIII/130SRIII. Mimaki has offered the CG series cutting plotters as pioneers of precise, yet affordable products for the sign industry since 1988. Throughout the 25 years since then, the CG series has enjoyed high praise from customers worldwide as setting industry standards.
The newly developed CG-SRIII series, successor models to the best selling CG-60SR and CG-100/130SRII, have a renewed design and many new functions to help provide ideal solutions, while still keeping prices affordable. With a best-in-class cutting pressure of 500g, the range of materials for various applications is increased. A doubled curve-cutting speed has greatly improved the production and ease of complicated cutting tasks.
With the popular “Continuous Crop Mark Detection function” of this series, a maximum of 4 crop marks is automatically and continuously detected to enable precise contour cutting. In addition, the new “Segment Compensation function” which detects intermediate crop marks, enables accurate contour cutting of long-length prints.
Remote monitoring is now possible with the new “Event Notification function”. Events, such as completion of cutting or error occurrence, are sent to a preset e-mail address. This means monitoring the state of machine is unnecessary, and unattended operation is possible. A firmware update too is also provided. Updates can be done quickly and easily by the user, thus ensuring the firmware is the latest version.

“Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the CG series, we are very happy to deliver the most affordable, yet technologically advanced models. We believe users will achieve the highest return on their investment with the new models which have reliable quality and consistent performance.”, said Mr. Kazuaki Ikeda, General Manager of Global Marketing Dept.
