Xeikon will hold a series of informal knowledge exchange sessions across Europe this summer to help label and packaging printers and converters discover new approaches and technologies. More than 100 industry professionals attended the first Xeikon Café event in Sofia, Bulgaria, earlier this month.
Each event will be based around a specific theme, and the next event in Denmark will cover web-to-label production on May 7th, featuring presentations from Label Traxx, Hybrid, Thermoflexx and Xeikon itself, as well as Danish label printer JoDi Etiketter. In France on May 16th, a Xeikon Café session on the digital production of wine and spirit labels in collaboration with Imprimerie Bouley will also feature SEI Label, Manter and Kurz as well as Hybrid and Xeikon.
In the UK, events will be held on June 10th and 11th with CS Labels, which moved from traditional flexo and screen printing to digital processes, providing the basis for the topic 'The transformation of a label printer'. Xeikon says it is also planning similar events for its document and commercial printing customers to take place later in the year.
