FESPA 2013 will provide the stage for the unveiling of three new wide-format printers and a 'new generation' of cutting plotters from Mutoh, the Belgian manufacturer has announced. The company says FESPA 2013, which takes place at London's Excel from June 25th to 29th, provides an 'excellent opportunity' to showcase the new machines.
The 64"-wide (162cm) ValueJet Hybrid VJ-1617H is an 'affordable' roll-to-roll and rigid printer, and the first Mutoh machine to be equipped with white ink in its 'bio-based' inkset. Another 64" model, the ValueJet 1624W, is a dye-sublimation engine with eight-channel heads and best-in-class speed and quality, says Mutoh. In addition, the DrafStation RJ-900x, shown at Sign and Digital UK, is a 42" (108cm) everyday sublimation printer with eight rows of 180 nozzles and resolution of 360 x 360 to 1,440 x 1,440 dpi.
In the new ValueCut series, Mutoh will introduce cutting plotters in widths of 610mm (24"), 1320mm (52") and 1830 mm (72"), designed for lettering and stickers. The range will replace the existing Kona series of cutters, Mutoh notes. FESPA visitors will also be able to see Mutoh's new UMS mild solvent inks, designed for long-term outdoor applications.
