Cambridgshire-based digital signage specialist DisplayLite has introduced a new range of large-format multi-touch LED displays which it says will enable any business to exploit the commercial benefits of touchscreen technology. The Zero Bezel series boasts 'the same sleek look and feel' of hand-held displays like iPhones and iPads, DisplayLite says.
Available immediately in sizes of 40, 46 and 55" (101.6, 116.8 and 139.7cm), the screens can be branded with logos or colours at very low cost, the manufacturer states, offering designers and installers a 'new level of flexibility' when creating displays. They can also be both table- and wall-mounted, and support up to ten simultaneous touch points, with the possibility to increase this to up to 40 touches with the touch-screen controller enabled during manufacture.
The first products in the range were demonstrated at the NEC Solutions Showcase this week, as they are based on NEC's X series of super-slim LED full-HD back-lit displays, offering 'exceptional brightness, image and build quality', and driven by Zytronics's multi-touch screen sensors and electronics.
