Seven new members have been added to the committee for drupa 2016, including 'global players' EFI and HP. Other companies new to the panel include Baumann Maschinenbau, bielomatik, Leonhard Kurz Stiftung, manroland web systems, and technotrans.
"With this decision we're taking into account current developments in the printing and media industry – above all the following aspects: the growing significance of digital printing with the resulting demands on post-press operations, continually increasing automation across all process stages and the mega trends value-added printing and packaging," comments Werner Matthias Dornscheidt, president and chief executive of Messe Düsseldorf.
The additions bring the total number of committee members to 26, which also includes the five most important German industry associations. Responsible for key policy decisions relating to the fair, the committee took the decision late last year to shorten the show's duration to eleven days whilst maintaining its four-year cycle.
The next drupa show will take place at the Messe Düsseldorf from May 31st to June 10th 2016.
