InkTec Europe's latest addition to its Jetrix range of UV printers - the Jetrix KX5-R - will be officially launched and showcased for the first time in Europe at FESPA 2013 on stand N35S.  The new Jetrix KX5 is a standard format 2.5m x 1.3m UV flatbed printer. It has a sleek new look but is still robustly built, keeping in line with all of the printers in the Jetrix range.

Like its little brother (the 1212), the Jetrix KX5 utilises the next generation Konica Minolta 1024 (6 pico litre) print head which offers speeds of up to 30sqm/hr and a maximum print resolution of 1440dpi for true photographic quality edge-to-edge printing. There is also a multi-layer print function built into the easy-to-use operating system. This time-saving feature cleverly enables the user to schedule their print in layers instead of having to do multiple passes. It also features a brand new roll-to-roll system which is 2.2m wide.

The most unique feature of the KX5 model is the brand new proprietary Jetrix UV ink that goes inside it. This patented ink-set is specially formulated to give strong adhesion to many substrates, such as glass, acrylic and metal, without the need for a primer. It is guaranteed not to chip when routed or cut. It can also be printed onto softer substrates, like polypropylene, and then folded without cracking. This will be demonstrated on the stand during the show.
