Agfa Graphics is set to showcase a new model in the :Jeti Titan series of UV-curable printers with the launch of the 3.1 x 2m :Jeti TitanX at FESPA 2013 in London. Featuring moving-table flat-bed technology, the :Jeti TitanX is designed to cater for increased productivity and print quality with 'extreme' colour accuracy.
Amongst the features of the new machine is fast switching from CMYK to CMYKLcLm imaging on a job-by-job basis. Both modes also benefit from the addition of eight dedicated white ink channels in a total of 48 print-heads. Billed as the 'only true industrial flat-bed' in its class, the :Jeti TitanX is ideal for closely-viewed applications such as POS and back-lit print, says Agfa.
The :Jeti TitanX also boasts Topology Optimisation, designed to minimise the impact of microscopic variations using a series of measurement and jetting compensation algorithms. An optical camera scans the print-bed to generate a topographical map which is then used to determine optimal dot placement, the manufacturer explains.
