3M will unveil the first two products in its 'game-changing' new Envision range at FESPA 2013, the company has announced. The eco-friendly series will feature films and laminates manufactured with sustainable and biodegradable materials.

Envision Print Wrap Film 480Cv3 and its matching Gloss Wrap Over-laminate 8546G is claimed to out-perform both non-PVC vehicle wrapping films and other vehicle wrap products on durability and conformability. As well as vehicles, the film and laminate can be used for projects such as boat wrapping and textured wall graphics. 3M highlights the film's ability to be applied in temperature extremes, liberal repositionability, high tensile strength for faster removal, 'exceptional' clarity and compatibility with a wide range of ink technologies.

The company will also demonstrate Envision Translucent and Diffuser films, which it describes as 'industry breakthroughs' for offering maximum brightness with fewer light sources. The new products may be the industry's first to offer optimisation for LED lighting, 3M says, but can also be used with fluorescent lights. The diffuser film is available in both 50 and 60 percent light transmission options, while the translucent film comes in standard and customised colours and an ink-jet printable format.
