Kiian Group has announced the launch of two new ink products for the textile market from its digital subsidiary. Digistar Hi-Pro and Digistar E-Gold inks will be demonstrated for the first time at FESPA 2013 at London's Excel on June 25th to 29th.

Digistar E-Gold is formulated for both direct and transfer printing, while Digistar Hi-Pro is aimed at the industrial market and is compatible with light and uncoated paper of 50 to 60gsm for transfer printing. The inks have been manufactured to be compatible with Epson's DX7 print-heads, and the ability to print both direct and transfer reduces costs by up to 50 percent, says Kiian.

"It is a little known fact that the current inks available on the market today for these applications are adaptions of existing ink profiles," explains Alessandra Borghi, commercial director, Kiian. "But both the Digistar E-Gold and Hi-Pro inks benefit from innovative chemistry that has been developed for a specific task, resulting in outstanding print."

Other products in the Digistar range, including Dys disperse inks, HD-One and Upper sublimation inks for transfer printing and Elite for both direct and transfer printing, will also be showcased at FESPA.
