Increasing customer demand for exhibition display and retail point-of-sale material has prompted wide format print specialists Ottimo Digital to invest in a Canon Océ Arizona 460 GT.
The new machine, which incorporates white and varnish options, prints directly on to a range of sub-strates up to 2.5m x 1.25m in size.
"It's enabling us to speed up and streamline our production processes," says Nick Lindwall, joint managing director of the Newport-based company. "We're seeing a growing overall requirement for both exhibition and retail work, as well as specific requests for reverse-mount acrylic prints for retail merchandising. The Arizona allows us to meet this exciting challenge quickly and cost-effectively."
The machine complements Ottimo Digital's existing wide range of roll-fed printers. This includes an HP L28500 which prints up to 2.6m wide, two Epson SureColor SCS30600s and two Mutoh ValueJet machines.
The company has expanded rapidly since it was founded just over three years ago. As well as continually adding to and updating its hardware and software to incorporate the latest technology, it has moved to larger premises and taken on extra staff.
