Wide format printer manufacturer Agfa Graphics, Mortsel, Belgium, announces that its UV-curable inks are now available for system integrators, OEMs and other manufacturing specialists.

The Agfa inks come in a variety of different formulations, researched and developed for specific market sectors and printing systems, and related to print-head, curing systems and application related specifications. In the wide format printing area, Agfa Graphics has developed ink sets specifically for use with LED curing lamps. These lamps offer energy saving and environmental benefits, and their low heat generation plus compact size make them ideal for use on small as well as larger format devices.

The extensive line of Agora and Altamira inks is comprised of inks for wide-format printing (multi-pass) and single-pass printing, targeted to many specific applications, including marking and coding, decoration printing, label printing, packaging printing, object printing and a wide variety of other industrial applications.

Agfa Graphics is using its 100+ years competence in chemistry, color, rheology, pigment dispersions and formulations to design inks for the specific wavelength spectrum required with LED UV lamps. Together with its expertise in ink tuning to the print system, the company continues to improve and develop inks in a direct relationship with the OEM or system integrator working with LED curing technology.
