Roland DG has declared Fespa 2013 to be a 'great success', citing a very busy stand, strong sales and a high number of qualified leads taken from a broad range of international and UK visitors.
Jerry Davies, managing director of Roland DG UK states, “FESPA 2013 has been a great show for Roland DG. There was a very high level of interest in our whole portfolio from a truly international range of visitors. Our new additions to the SOLJET PRO4 series, the XF-640 printer and XR-640 printer/cutter, attracted particular attention, not only from sign makers but also commercial and digital printers from around the globe, who were all coming on the stand to see the incredible productivity and quality achieved on these machines.”
Printing at speeds of up to 102m2/hr and designed for both outdoor and indoor applications, the XF-640 is the ideal production tool for signs, banners, vehicle wraps, window graphics, POP displays, exhibition show graphics, posters and more. The XF-640 features new, advanced print control technology that incorporates the industry’s most advanced print heads in a staggered design for maximum productivity and is compatible with Roland’s newest eco-solvent inks, ECO-SOL MAX2, for an expanded colour gamut, fast drying times and a dual mirrored CMYK ink configuration for consistent colour imaging.
At the show, Roland’s ECO-SOL MAX2 was awarded the European Digital Press (EDP) Award in the Best New Generation Solvent Ink Technology category, which was accepted by Jerry Davies at the EDP Association’s ceremony.
The SolJet PRO4 XF-640 and XR-640 shared the stand with an extensive range of Roland’s other market-leading machines and industry-leading support services. These included the LEC-540 and LEJ-640 from the VersaUV range along with Roland’s best-selling and the signmaker’s favourite VersaCAMM VS and SP-i series.
An impressive selection of customer stories from Roland users around the world were displayed on the stand and attracted considerable interest from international visitors. And, Roland’s resident caricaturist was kept busy throughout the show, drawing customers, dealers and partners over a bite to eat and a drink at the Roland Café on the stand.
Jerry Davies continues, “We would also like to thank loyal Roland customers Pete Colman from Classic Lines Plus Signs and James Sahota from Group 101 Visual Communications, who joined us on the stand and talked to visitors about their own experience with Roland and our technology. They helped visitors to understand first-hand how Roland’s technology is helping to transform their businesses. In fact, James Sahota from Group 101 did such a great job of discussing Roland’s technology, he also ended up investing in yet another Roland machine to add to his growing Roland arsenal on the last day of the show – this time a Roland SOLJET PRO4 XR-640 printer/cutter.
“We had an international contingent of over 50 Roland DG staff manning the stand across the five days, all of whom were enthusiastic and geared up to show visitors what we consider to be the strongest and most versatile range of machines in the industry today. We are always focused on providing customers with the most versatile tools to help them create new applications, markets and profit. FESPA 2013 provided a truly international forum for us to do this.”
