[From L] Dave Cull, product manager for wide-format ink-jet at Fujifilm, shakes on the Onset with STI Line's operations director Dave Driver at FESPA 2013

During FESPA 2013, STI Group expressed interest and subsequently placed an order for the Inca Onset S40i with Uvijet OC inks and XMF Workflow from Fujifilm, making it the first company to invest in the platform in the UK.

"The Onset S40i will provide us with extraordinary quality and improves our speed to market," explains Dave Driver, operations director at STI Line. "The packaging and display market is extremely demanding and quality is paramount for some of our key categories, such as cosmetics and beauty.

"The Uvijet OC inks will guarantee exceptional flexibility for us, so we can immediately proceed with the cutting and finishing stage, delivering finished products quickly," he continues.

Driver also states that the ever-increasing need for short-run products in the face of decreasing lead times has led the group to invest in digital print, which now fits better  with the company’s requirements.

Fujifilm's XMF Workflow software will also be utilised by STI Group due to its being an 'easy-to-use and efficient pre-press solution', meaning that, for Driver, it 'ticks all the boxes'.
