xpedx Helping Hundreds of Print Professionals at Wide Format Summits
Jul 17 2013 09:33:07 , 857

xpedx has worked with more than 350 printers through the first seven stops of the 14-city Wide Format Solutions Summit tour. The Summits, which provide printers with tools for succeeding in wide format printing, will continue in seven additional cities from July through September (revised schedule below).

“We’ve seen a number of local printers who are eager to enter or expand in this growing segment in our industry, and these Summits provide the opportunity for us to work with them to achieve success,” said Dennis Killion, xpedx Director, Marketing-Graphics. “The first seven Summits were extremely well-received and we look forward to sharing our wide format expertise with many more printers over the next few months.”

Each Summit features strategic industry knowledge to help printers maximize profits in this growing segment. First, InfoTrends, a print technology strategy and consulting firm, shares wide format insight and advice. Next, xpedx’s print team leads a discussion about wide format technology. Then, guests at each show have an opportunity to view demonstrations on the latest equipment, media and substrates.

“We recently jumped into the wide format business because of customer demand, but we needed more education to be successful as we entered this new space,” said Rick Autzen, COO of SpringDot and a guest at the Cincinnati Summit in June. “With the help of xpedx, my team learned about the market opportunities and the substrates that are available. I would recommend these Summits to anyone looking to enter the wide format industry.”
