Primary Color Los Angeles Announces the Installation of the KBA Rapida 81inch Press

Primary Color, a full service visual communications company based in Southern California and serving businesses globally, has again widened its lineup of print technology by installing the KBA Rapida 205 81” UV, the world’s largest sheetfed press. It is capable of printing up to 80.5” x 59.25” at 9,000 sheets per hour. The KBA can print up to 48pt. board and onto a variety of papers and substrates to create POP displays, packaging products, large indoor and outdoor retail signage, standees and transit signage.

“We are thrilled to now offer the highest quality oversize litho printing to our customers with the addition of the KBA Rapida 205. With this press we will be able to immerse ourselves deeper into the high volume packaging, retail and entertainment markets,” mentioned Mike Hirt, Vice President Operations of Primary Color. “In addition to acquiring the press, we have developed an expanded color gamut for the KBA that we believe will be game changing. This new expanded color gamut will set us apart from our competitors and allow us to produce a unique product our customers will find amazing.”

With the new installation of the KBA, the recent installations of the Vutek TX3250r dye-sublimation printer and theAgfa M-Press Tiger flatbed press with inline silkscreen unit, Primary Color has scaled to become one of the nation’s most powerful print producers. With all of these print capabilities, web-to-print technology and their dedicated 30,000 sq ft fulfillment and distribution facility, Primary Color’s customers have a true single source provider to produce and manage all their marketing material.
