Signbox, a UK based architectural design led sign company, has invested in a Durst Omega 2 LED UV industrial inkjet printer supplied by exclusive UK distributor Perfect Colours.
The deal was signed at the recent FESPA exhibition in London, where the machine was shipped from the Perfect Colours stand to the company’s Environmental Graphics (EG) digital print division at its Surrey head office.
Mark Bartlett, managing director of Signbox, says: “Since we took delivery of the Omega 1 in July 2011 it has been in constant use, keeping up with the level of demand we now have for large format printing, especially digital wallpaper. Our Environmental Graphics Division is fundamental to our future growth strategy and this investment in the new Omega 2 demonstrates that, despite an ongoing challenging economic climate, we are determined to stay at the forefront of the UK sign industry.”
The fine art printing quality of both the company’s Omega printers is achieved by a resolution of up to 1728 dpi, which ensures consistently accurate printing. However the Omega 2 features a broader colour gamut with the addition of light cyan and light magenta, in addition to rapid ink drying via UV LED drying technology.
