Solutions In Steel, with creations including the City of London Gateway and the Portland Tower in Manchester, has launched a new, full-service division called SIS Digital. Headed by industry specialists Simon Grice and Ben Zloof, it will provide a 'full turnkey' service to media companies, shopping centres and retailers looking to join the 'digital signage revolution'.
The new company, which has already won the contract to install a large-format digital screen for Clear Channel on London's Cromwell Road, will not only design the structures but also fabricate the steel, purchase the screen and, most importantly, undertake the maintenance and servicing.
"There is a major progression to digital screens; retailers are able to engage and interact with customers, and change the messages at will. They have the ability to hit their target audience as and when they want to," states Grice. "The digital signage revolution has only just begun. I travel to the Far East on a regular basis to keep an eye on developments in screen technology, so we can confidently advise our partners on the best options available to them.
"With screens getting thinner and resolution improving by the week, the market is just starting to wake up to the opportunities digital signage has to offer."
