UTC-532 is intended for high-footfall environments

A new slimline interactive terminal for signage and kiosk applications, the 32" (81cm) UTC-532, has been announced by Advantech for global release in September this year. With a profile of 60mm, the fanless display incorporates Intel's Core i7 processor and can be supplied with up to 8GB of internal memory.

The UTC (Ubiquitous Touch Computer) range is intended for use in high-traffic areas, such as healthcare and education. It has been prepared accordingly with coatings to protect against reflection, glare and smudging, as well as Corning's Gorilla toughened glass screen, with an 89-degree viewing angle.

Similar to its siblings in this series, the UTC-532 supports a multitude of peripheral devices, including barcode scanners, while also including wireless internet and media capture options. Advantech says it provides a low total cost of ownership through low maintenance requirements and high uptime.

Advantech emphasises the customisable nature of its new release, which allows users to 'adapt it to their specific requirements'.
