Originally a specialist supplier of printed garments to the Midlands and the North West, Shropshire-based Print Monkey has invested in Mimaki print technology and forged a partnership with master distributor Hybrid Services in order to transform itself into a wide-format printing business providing a variety of products.
“We’ve developed as a company in the last few years," says Print Monkey founder Lucy Ratcliffe. "Whilst we originally considered supplying sports teams with bespoke kits, we soon realised that offering a broader range of products would be more profitable and that got us into the wide-format market."
The move has seen Print Monkey invest in a range of printing, cutting and finishing hardware, including a Mimaki JV5 printer, a Mimaki CJV30-160 print-and-cut unit, a standalone Mimaki CG-160FX plotter and a Rollover flat-bed laminator. The company has also joined supplier Hybrid Services's 'Let's Do More' rebate-linked recycling scheme.
"It’s a massive help to us," adds Ratcliffe. "A scheme that not only helps us to manage our print waste but rewards us for doing so as well, is of real value."
