Roland DGA will be demonstrating the capabilities of its newest, most advanced large-format digital printers, including the company’s rocket-fast SOLJET Pro 4 XF-640, at the PRINT 13 show, Sept. 8-12, in Chicago. In addition to showcasing its innovative printers and printer/cutters in booth 4274, Roland will also be featuring special presentations on the expo hall floor, live, in-booth appearances by internationally acclaimed photographer and multiple “Benny” award winner, Bob Armstrong, and more.
Roland’s first PRINT 13 presentation, “Tap into Business with Wide-Format Printing,” will take place Sun., Sept. 8 at 2:30 p.m. in the expo hall theater. In this informative session, Eric Zimmerman, Roland Product Manager, Color Products, will provide valuable data and insights for commercial printers interested in increasing their business opportunities and profits by expanding into the lucrative digital wide-format market. On Tues., Sept. 10 at 3:30 p.m., Hiroshi Ono, Roland DGA’s Group Product Manager, UV, 3D and Engraving Products, will introduce attendees to “New Technologies Revolutionizing the Production of Realistic Package Prototypes and Comps,” an enlightening presentation detailing the advantages of UV-LED printers and how these state-of-the-art devices are making package proofing and prototyping faster and easier than ever before.
Bob Armstrong, the winner of eight 2013 PIA Benny Awards for his “Body of Work” collection – a “new generation” of artistic photographic imagery, will be Roland’s special in-booth guest from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sun., Sept. 8 and Mon., Sept. 9. Armstrong relies upon Roland’s innovative UV-LED printing technology to create flawless one-off prints from his original photographic masterpieces, works of art that sell for $25,000 and up.
Additionally, Roland will be displaying and demonstrating its fastest wide-format printer ever – the revolutionary Pro-4 XF-640 – at the PRINT 13 “Inkjet Candy Store,” located in booth #1631 South Hall. A new PRINT 13 exhibit hall feature, the Inkjet Candy Store brings together the latest introductions of the major wide-format manufacturers in one central location, allowing for easy access, review and comparison. After spending some time in the Inkjet Candy Store, attendees can move on to the Roland booth (# 4274) for a deeper look into the company’s technologies, features, software, unique applications, substrates and inks.
