Mimaki's RasterLink Pro 5 and RasterLink 6 RIP programs will now offer full support for the Windows 8 OS, the company has announced. The RIP software, which comes as part of Mimaki's wide-format printer packages, can be updated either from the manufacturer's website or by using the application's internal web update function.

RasterLink Pro 5 and 6 are fully-featured PostScript level 3 RIPs, which are customised to each series of printers. They can be further integrated with Mimaki's FineCut plugin by users with the company's cutting plotters.
