Geostick prepares for the future with Esko and HP
Aug 29 2013 09:48:06 , 1006

Dutch label supplier Geostick has improved its productivity and reduced workflow issues by investing in integrated automation through Esko, as well as a new HP Indigo platform. The company reveals that it has implemented Esko's Automation Engine to streamline its pre-press facilities, while a CERM MIS platform has updated its sales and order department.

Cees Schouten, Geostick technical director, says: "Jobs get to the pre-press department more quickly, where they are handled automatically. With less human intervention required, there are fewer mistakes. [Our] work is now very standardised, which gives us an up-to-the-minute overview of our workload and allows us to better schedule and combine jobs."

Geostick has also replaced its HP Indigo WS6000 digital printers with WS6600 engines, which the company believes has made the printing process faster and more efficient.

"Having our integrated workflow in place also makes it easier to make investment decisions like that," adds Schouten. "As Esko and HP already have a long-standing partnership in providing digital front-end solutions that significantly improve workflow efficiency, we are now assured we can handle the further increase in speed and productivity that our new HP Indigo presses have to offer, in an accurate and automated way."
