Signcraft has 'vastly increased' its printing capacity after investing in a new Seiko II ColorPainter W-64S wide-format engine via Colourgen reseller City and West End Solutions. A 1.62m (64") printer, the machine uses high-viscosity inks and productions speeds up to 18sq m/hr.
"We have always embraced new technology and were one of the first companies in the property industry to bring full colour digital ink-jet graphics when we purchased the original Seiko ColorPainter 64S printer in 2004," explains founder Bob Colwell. "The need for greater speed and quality encouraged us to look again at the latest printers on the market and we quickly decided that the updated version of the 64S would be an ideal addition."
The new machine has allowed Signcraft to expand its offering, including wallpaper and large-format signage, as well as the property boards that the company has traditionally offered.
"Our business has had to move forward to remain successful," Colwell continues. "As well as boards, we can provide complete signage solutions for large public areas like shopping centres, shop fronts and more. This has led to a lot more referral business and is certainly keeping us busy and profitable."
