HP announced that Franklin, a Baton Rouge, La.-based direct mail provider, expanded its digital printing capacity with the installation of the 29-inch wide HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press.

Digital printing accounts for the largest growth area for Franklin. The company, which operates facilities in Baton Rouge and Memphis, Tn., combines database management with precision printing and fulfillment for its customers in the financial services, gaming and marketing agency industries. Franklin continues adopting next generation technology to add additional value to its customers as well as produce direct mail quickly, accurately and efficiently.

“We have grown our business in the last nine of 10 years, and our largest growth area is in digital printing,” said Craig Chumney, vice president, Franklin. “The HP Indigo 10000 is the next investment in digital printing where we see countless possibilities with the new large format.”

The award-winning HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press, the fourth HP Indigo that Franklin has purchased, joins the HP Indigo 7600. With the new press and its range of finishing equipment, Franklin can offer its customers high-value services including full bindery services, perforated, tabbing, saddle stitch and much more.  Additionally, the much larger signature size of the HP Indigo 10000 will enable printing of booklets with more personalized pages.

“HP digital presses offer the closest quality to offset presses, which is critical for our business because we pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality product,” said Chumney. “We offer the most accurate, automated, timely and cost-effective distribution our customers can find.”

The HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press received the 2013 InterTech Technology Award in recognition as a truly innovative print solution.
