EFI has acquired German print management information system developer Lector Computersysteme, as it looks to strengthen its position in the European MIS market. The takeover means that Lector's team will become part of the EFI infrastructure, while the company's technology will also be incorporated into EFI's wide-format ink-jet printer range.

"Germany has always been one of the world's largest printing industry markets, so we are pleased to have Lector Computersysteme join EFI," states Marc Olin, interim chief financial officer and general manager of EFI's Productivity Software business.
