HP has lowered the prices of two of its wide-format Latex printers in an effort to encourage companies within the sign and display market to move away from solvent technology and invest in latex-based print engines.
The HP Latex 260 printer, a 61" (1.6m) machine for double-sided printing, has been reduced from £21,892 to £17,000, while the HP Latex 280, a 104" (2.6m) which delivers print speeds of up to 70 percent more than the Latex 260 on a variety of substrates, has decreased from £45,000 to £35,000.
