Euroscreen was founded in 1980 in Sassuolo – the industrial centre of the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy famed for its tile production – by Gianni Rezzaghi and was a pioneer in the provision of pre-printing technologies and consumables for its locally-based customers in the tile industry.
In 1987, the company diversified its activities and specialised in the creation and delivery of screen-printed products for customers in other sectors – including the advertising, industrial and textile industries – across all regions of Italy. By 1990, Euroscreen was the leading company within the Italian screen industry and in 1991, the company started to manufacture screen printing machines for the Italian and overseas marketplaces.
In 1997, the company started to get involved in the digital printing market and the rest – as they say – is history. By the year 2000, Euroscreen had opened businesses in Milan, Rome and Bari to facilitate the speedy delivery of its wide array of solutions – by now including printers, consumables, inks, display systems and software – to its customers across Italy.
A partnership with VUTEk was established in 2005 which confirmed the company’s credibility in the wide format marketplace and signalled the company’s entrance into the superwide format digital print arena. This was followed in 2011 by the signing of a partnership with specialist ink manufacturer Nazdar. Since this time, Euroscreen has worked closely with Nazdar to provide alternative ink solutions as well as creating bespoke ink solutions to meet specific needs for end user customers. Both companies share the core philosophies of innovation, quality and integrity, backed up with excellence in service and delivery.
Having been in the inks and coatings innovation businesses for nearly 100 years, Nazdar is focused on meeting the needs of customers in the wide format digital inkjet, screen printing and flexographic ink marketplaces. The company manufactures one of the most comprehensive selections of UV, water-based and solvent-based wide format inks.
On the relationship with Nazdar, Andrea Rezzaghi, managing director and the son of Euroscreen’s founder, comments, “As a reseller of wide format print solutions, we always look to source the best of everything. We want the best printing machines, best consumables and of course also the best inks. Nazdar fits neatly into this strategy.”
He adds, “Nazdar inks enable our customers to increase the performance of their printed output and expand the range of substrates they are able to print on. Additionally, our relationship with Nazdar means we can develop new bespoke solutions for our clients. We have industrial clients that are not always satisfied by existing ‘off the shelf’ inks and want something more bespoke to meet a particular requirement – perhaps more vivid colour, with a longer life and better scratch resistance. Our partnership with Nazdar ensures we are able to offer our customers exactly what they want and need.”
In its bid to remain ever-competitive and ahead of the game, the company has added a range of Euroscreen-branded solutions to its portfolio to sit alongside the ranges offered by Nazdar, Mimaki and VUTEk.
Euroscreen views both business partnerships and customer relationships as long-term ventures. The company is always seeking to find the very best for its customers, both in terms of quality and price and only works with quality manufacturers.
Andrea Rezzaghi continues, “When first looking at alternative ink solutions, some customers come to us focusing purely on cost. However, we will only recommend what we know works. If we install an ink and it is not the right choice for that particular machine or application, Euroscreen will spend time and money repairing the affected printer.”
He concludes, “The right choice of ink is the one that has the best price-performance ratio. Working with Nazdar enables us to remain price competitive whilst delivering a first class ink solution. This is backed up by our ‘Solution Care’ technical assistance. Our partnership with Nazdar is a winning combination and is one we hold dear.”
