Quality Print Services (QPS) has joined the authorised Roland reseller channel, allowing the wide-format print house to sell Roland's dye-sublimation engines. The first machine that will be available via QPS will be the VersaArt RE-640, with a first purchase already confirmed.
"We're thrilled to have been appointed as an Authorised Roland Dealer for dye-sublimation applications," states Chris Bailey, director at QPS. "This is an exciting, progressive market, so we're very pleased to be now helping our customers expand their business even further by adding Roland's wide-format technology to our portfolio."
The VersaArt RE-640, a 1.6m printer with eight-channel mirrored ink configuration of two sets of CMYK, holds the Roland EcoLabel, an indication it meets standards based on ISO 14021 Type II environmental labelling. All models sold through QPS will come with digital aqueous inks.
"We were very impressed by the technical knowledge of the team at QPS and their ability to offer the customer a complete package," notes Rob Goleniowski, business manager for sign and graphics at Roland DG UK. "Their attitude to customer service mirrors Roland's in that they want to do all they can to ensure their customers are delighted with their purchase."
