Mimaki has announced that it is to exhibit at promotional products exhibition PSI Düsseldorf, which runs from January 8th – 10th 2014 at the Düsseldorf Messe. As well as showcasing its printers designed for customising gifts and promotional items, the manufacturer will offer hands-on sessions where visitors can produce their own work on Mimaki engines.
Among the printers on display will be the UJF-3042 and UJF-6042 flat-bed printers, which can reach 1,800 x 1,800 dpi with a variable dot size of a minimum of four picolitres. Also demonstrated will be the JV33 series, a roll-to-roll ink-jet which outputs at 1,440 dpi and offers four- or six-colour printing. As well as the option of high scratch-resistant solvent inks, users can choose to use dye-sublimation or aqueous inks with the JV33 range.
"Attendees at PSI will have the opportunity to see how their businesses can be augmented by on-demand printing of promotional products," claims Mike Horsten, general manager for EMEA marketing at Mimaki. "We believe we are on the start of an analogue-to-digital transformation of the promotional products industry – and attendees at the show will be able to experience this first-hand."
