Schulz has transitioned to Durst from thermal press manufacturer Ipsen

Barbara Schulz has been appointed chief executive of Durst Digital Technology following the death of Klaus Schneider in Spring 2013. Formerly of thermal press manufacturer Ipsen, where she held the position of chief executive for its south-east Asian and Indian subsidiaries, while Schulz also worked at management level for ceramics manufacturer ESK Ceramics.

"I am absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to take on probably the most demanding management position in my home state," comments Schulz. "The opportunity to lead one of the most innovative, global companies in Austria and to implement its strategy of continuous profitable growth is one which rarely comes along. Durst's plans regarding its long-term strategy are as exciting as they are challenging."

"We are very much looking forward to working with Mrs Schulz," adds Richard Piock, chairman of the administrative board at Durst. "Her many years of experience in international management in all the markets which are important to the Durst Group, combined with the fact that East Tyrol is her home region, means that Barbara Schulz is an exceptionally good fit with us."
