Custom banner specialist PartyBanners has invested in a 2.6m Mutoh ValueJet 2638 as it looks to increase its printing capacity and further its goal of UK and international expansion. Supplied and installed by Colourgen reseller Digital Print Media, the ValueJet has become central to the company's operations.
"Our business is all about the speed and efficiency of our workflow," comments Mark Long, founder of parent company The Banners Warehouse. "This means our printers need to be fast, reliable and deliver consistently high quality.
"We purchased the new Mutoh VJ2638 as a backup to two of our older 2.2m machines but the speed and ease of use of the printer has meant that it has taken over from the other machines to become our main printer," he adds. "We have been able to get nearly 80sq m per hour out of the VJ2638, but tend to run it at around 36sq m per hour."
The Mutoh ValueJet 2638 is a dual-head engine that and can print at 1,440 dpi. The printer uses fast-drying universal mild-solvent inks, as well as a vacuum bed to enable a smoother printing process.
