EFI has made changes to its management team, with Cisco's David Reeder stepping into the role of chief financial officer, which Marc Olin has filled on an interim basis since September last year, while Olin will take up the newly created position of chief operating officer.
Previously vice-president of finance for Cisco's enterprise networking division, Reeder was responsible for all aspects within its $16 billion (£9.8bn) portfolio. EFI's chief executive Guy Gecht cites his experience as crucial to his appointment, where he is expected to 'expand the geographic footprint' of the company.
"David was our clear first choice with his extensive background in both finance and operations at Cisco, Broadcom, and Texas Instruments which make him a tremendous asset to EFI's diverse business," explains Gecht.
Olin, meanwhile, has served as interim chief financial officer since September last year, while the search is underway for his previous role as general manager of EFI's productivity software business. Having joined the company in 2003 when it acquired his business PrintCafé, Olin is credited with growing EFI's commercial print software business from $35 million to more than $110 million (£21.4m; £67.2m).
