3M is to début its latest multi-touch devices at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2014 at the RAI Conference Centre in Amsterdam. The company will launch the C4267PW, a 107cm (42") plug-and-play screen, and the PCT2420PX, both of which boast 3M's patented PCAP multi-touchscreen system.
The C4267PW is bezel-free and is designed to be used in multi-user interactive table-top applications. It is unaffected by ambient light and simply requires a cable connector to set up. The PCT2420PX is intended to provide OEM designers with the means to incorporate 3M's PCAP technology into their own systems, and comprises of a sensor and controller with the ability to support displays ranging from 81cm (32") to 117cm (46").
3M's PCAP multi-touchscreen technology allows for 60 simultaneous touches and claims to offer users the same rapid response time found on smartphones and tablets.
Also present at 3M's booth will be RTT, Atracsys, Intuilab, Mindstorm and Pyramid, who – through their software, hardware and 3D content – will be demonstrating how 3M's multi-touch displays can be used in real-life situations to generate audience interaction.
