EFI has announced that it will introduce v7 of its Digital StoreFront web-to-print software at the EFI Connect Users Conference, which takes place on January 21st – 24th in Las Vegas. Commercially available this quarter, the update adds advanced HTML5 tools to its SmartStore Builder interface, allowing for optimised access across devices.

Digital StoreFront v7 offers a series of pre-built layout and themes as well as the creation of customised storefronts using either HTML5 or CSS. Each storefront template has been certified for desktop, tablet and mobiles across Windows, Linux, iOS and Android platforms.

"Printing companies need a powerful online interface not only to win new business, but to create greater customer loyalty through branding and updated browser functionality," opines Dave Minnick, director of EFI's web-to-print product solutions group. "Our new version of EFI Digital StoreFront addresses this critical need by providing the most compelling, attractive and feature-rich web-to-print and eCommerce solution in the industry."

Among the changes in v7 is increased automation and integration across the software, with the progression of preflighted files and order information simplified to avoid redundant interactions. StoreFront v7 has also been designed to work alongside EFI's range of workflow products, including EFI Pace, Monarch and Fiery digital front-end software.
