Mutoh has announced a reorganisation of its EMEA business units as it looks to streamline and unify its logistics and warehousing. From April 2014, all of Mutoh's Japanese-manufacturedhardware, as well as its consumables, supplies and spare parts, will be stored at, and subsequently distributed from, its Belgian warehouse.
As well as consolidating its logistical activities, all product and commercial marketing will become centralised in Belgium, although individual business divisions – Mutoh Belgium, Deutschland and North Europe – will continue to manage sales, servicing and local marketing and sales support in their respective regions.
"Mutoh's main objectives with this realignment plan are to optimise our organisation's go-to-market strategy and to strengthen our supply chain and overall customer support activities," says Arthur Vanhoutte, Mutoh Belgium's managing director.
"The plan will provide us with opportunities for further optimisation of our cost structures, more effective brand building and marketing communication activities whilst at the same time increasing efficiency and effectiveness of all Mutoh business units in Europe," he continues. "These steps will create a more powerful organisation to demonstrate the strength of 'One Mutoh' and will lead to a better customer experience."
