Jan 26 2014 11:18:04 , 1147

n 1st January 2014, Bernd Würth was appointed as the new Marketing Manager for Durst Industrial Inkjet Application GmbH, which specialises in the manufacture and international sales of industrial production lines for intelligent surface printing. Its declared aim is to position digital inkjet printing in sectors which currently still work with analogue systems. These include the wood and furniture industry, and selected areas of the building materials and glass industries. A further area will be the manufacture of high precision inkjet printing systems to be integrated into assembly lines, for example, the manufacture of valves and fittings, membrane keyboards and plastic parts.

Mr Würth has already worked in the print technology sector for many years. He worked as Manager of the Sales and Marketing department at Steinemann Coating for a long time, formerly Fleischle Siebdruckmaschinen, which is responsible for Screen Printing Machines, and then he moved to Polytype AG whose head office is in Switzerland. He was responsible there for marketing digital printing machines in the areas of glass, metal and stone, at an international level.

“I am looking forward to my new job. With Durst Industrial Inkjet Application GmbH I have the opportunity to be part of building up a new company from the word go, and to use my knowledge in the area of printing technology, without having the constraints of company processes, which are already set in stone. The responsibility of taking over the Sales and Marketing department in this young firm, exploring new markets and developing strategies, represents a special challenge for me which I am happy to undertake,” said Würth, during his first few days at Durst Industrial Inkjet Application GmbH.

Durst Industrial Inkjet Application GmbH is a 100% subsidiary of Durst Digital Technology and has its head office in a newly completed building in Lienz. DIIA itself manufactures the Rho IP, which is particularly intended to supersede screen printing machines for small parts decoration and the printing of membrane keyboards, as well as the Rho XY for glass printing with inorganic ink. He will be able to rely on experienced specialists in the Durst parent company and the research centre. DIIA will present itself for the first time with its own stand at INPRINT in Hannover.
