Canon has added two imagePrograf models for poster and point-of-sale applications to its product portfolio. The 0.6m (24") iPF6400SE and 1.2m (44") iPF8400SE offer six-colour printing in CMYK, matte black and red with a fast mode.
As well as the option of larger ink tanks the ranges feature sub-ink tanks, allowing for ink replacemend during printing. Canon is offering the machines as part of a package that includes PosterArtist Lite design program, a plug-in for Microsoft Office and Direct Print and Share software, which enables cloud-based sharing.
"In the corporate, retail and hospitality markets, there is a growing demand for wide-format printers to enable users to produce good quality posters at low cost in-house, reducing their reliance on outsourcing print and allowing them to maintain total control over when and what they print," says Duncan Smith, wide-format group director for Canon Europe.
"The iPF6400SE and iPF8400SE clearly address these specific needs by allowing in-house users to economically print attention-grabbing materials the instant they're needed for new promotions."
