ColorGate will present its SmartControl industrial printing software at InPrint 2014. Designed to bring all elements of a workflow together, from print data transmission to print-head controllers, ink supply and maintenance, the suite aims to provide users with an easy monitoring and management tool for print processes.

SmartControl is split into two applications named Server and Touch. The former controls file preparation and data tansfer to print-heads, while the latter allows for user interaction with various control parameters, including machine cleaning, nozzle control and job prioritisation.

The industrial printing edition of Production Server v8 will also be demonstrated at InPrint, which uses the Adobe PDF Print Engine (APPE) v3. Managing colour reproduction, the driver can be configured to support a range of industrial devices and produces halftone data for various colour models and file formats.

ColorGate will also be promoting custom solutions at its stand. Developed for manufacturers and OEMs, this service offers consultation and colour management support during the development of industrial ink-jet systems.
