Novalia founder and print innovator Dr Kate Stone is to undergo a third operation on her throat in order to repair damage to her oesophagus following an attack by a startled stag. If successful, the procedure will allow her to eat solid food for the first time since the incident within a matter of weeks.
"I'm getting fed up with the liquid food," Stone told the BBC. "I signed up as a vegan, but I didn't sign up for not eating anything at all. [What] I really want is baked beans. I dream about them – and chips and curry sauce too."
