Fujifilm has announced that it will take its Acuity engines and euromedia substrates to Sign and Digital UK 2014, where it aims to demonstrate how the two products can be used together most effectively.
Central to the stand will be the Advance Select HS 2.5 x 1.5m flat-bed, capable of printing up to 60sq m per hour on both rigid and roll-fed substrates, and the LED 1600 hybrid engine, which features Fuji's low-energy LED-curing, making it suitable for outputting very thin media. Both devices will be showcased with UV-curable clear and white ink.
The PVC-free, self-adhesive SmartTack Ghost, a repositionable film for short- and medium-term use, will make its UK début at the show.
"There are so many exciting opportunities for print service providers who are open to experimenting with white ink and spot UV-curable varnish on some of the printed applications they are already working on," comments Steve Cookman, product manager for wide-format ink-jet at Fujifilm. "With our heritage in ink development, we are in the fortunate position of being able to demonstrate the effective results that can be achieved when using the right combination of ink, media and hardware."
