Fujifilm has held demonstrations of its XMF ColorPath and the Jet Press 720 to showcase colour profiling for digital print.
The company believes that the combination of the two technologies can offer colour accuracy and repeatability as standard as well as bringing value to short-run print production.
By using XMF ColorPath, the company is able to set up its B2 digital inket press, the Jet Press 720, to conform to ISO12647-2. The software was developed with the aim of creating colour profiles. In the case of drift, the XMF automatically delivers a new profile to take the change into account.
“A standard colour chart needs to be printed on the Jet Press 720 which is measured by XMF ColorPath," explains John Davies, business strategy and marketing manager at Fujifilm. "These measurements are then automatically sent to the cloud-based servers where colour profiles are generated that match the Jet Press 720 output to the ISO12647-2 standard. The profiles are automatically delivered back into the XMF workflow system that is driving production through the press.”
