Apr 25 2014 09:35:42 , 1042

DisplayStudio is designed to be used by print houses with no prior experience of digital signage

Roland DGA has made a move into the digital signage market with the release of its DisplayStudio system at ISA International Sign Expo.

Designed for print and sign-making businesses looking to incorporate digital displays with wide-format graphics, the DisplayStudio includes content management software, a 'compact' media player, display mounts and the option of LCD displays from 32 – 55" (81 – 140cm) that support 1080p content.

DisplayStudio's CMS uses a simple drag-and-drop interface and supports a number of file formats, from Powerpoint presentations and static images to video and PDF. Templates are included in the software to allow for quick creation of digital presentations.

"The system includes everything sign shops need to design, implement and manage digital signage displays for their customers," explains Greg Collin, product manager for Roland DGA. "A natural complement to wide-format printed graphics, dynamic digital signage is in high demand, and print providers that embrace this business opportunity can increase their revenues while better serving their customers."

The turnkey digital signage system will be made available through Roland's authorised dealernetwork and comes with a three-year warranty. As part of its Roland Care package, the company is offering additional online educational resources for customers moving into the sector.
